Hi there!

I’m Katie Dutcher, MA, a teacher of mindfulness and meditation who helps people to flourish by developing mindful awareness. This leads to self-discovery, through practices of stillness, reflection, connecting with nature, seeking out inspiring wisdom, and sharing in community.

I am a Qualified Teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), a Certified Mindful Outdoor Guide, and a Marriage and Family Therapist trainee working under a licensed clinical supervisor at Harmony Place Monterey. I am also in the process of being certified as a Holden Qigong Teacher.

I am the host of Flourish and Bloom, a community platform offering resources and events for mindfulness, self-discovery, and greater well-being. I also write about mindful living and lead workshops to promote well-being.

Approach

As a teacher, I offer a presence that is sensitive, calming, compassionate, and accepting, allowing people to be seen and understood just as they are. My in-depth knowledge of mindfulness principles and my lived experience and reflection in working with grief, anxiety, and uncertainty allow me to offer insights and empathy.

The resources and teaching that I offer invite us to cultivate self-compassion, self-worth, self-love, and learn to live more authentically in the present moment, feeling grounded, balanced, and at ease as we are. We flourish, meeting challenges with grace and resilience.

In my work with meditation and mindfulness, I have taught elementary students, CEOs, high schoolers, moms, international graduate students, elders, and probably people like you… and I believe that training and practice in being more aware and compassionate (including to ourselves!) can be beneficial, and even life-changing, to pretty much everyone!
